The 3,170 individuals who were subjects of the JHPS third wave
(Valid respondents: 3,160 individuals, and 10 individuals who did not respond to JHPS Third Wave but who wished to participate in the survey.) - - Survey Method

As the same as JHPS first wave, survey areas were randomly divided into two parts (denoted Group A and Group B), and two different survey methods were applied. At the individual level, the same survey method was applied for the first wave survey, the second wave survey and the third wave survey.

Group A
The survey was implemented by the drop-off pick-up (DOPU) method. The surveyor distributed the questionnaire to the survey respondent, and later the surveyor revisited the respondent to collect the questionnaire that had been completed by the respondent. For this group, the survey is totally self-administered. -
Group B
The survey was implemented by the drop-off pick-up (DOPU) method plus interview method. The surveyor distributed the questionnaire to the survey respondent. The survey questions were divided into two parts, with one part is organized as an interview ?the surveyor asked questions to respondents in person. The other part is self-administered, and the surveyor revisited the respondent to collect the questionnaire which filled by the respondent her/himself.

Of 3,160 individuals who were surveyed, 2,817 individuals responded the survey, and then the collection rate was 89.1%.
Four respondents who did not respond to the survey last year cooperated in the re-survey this year.
