Abstract

This study examines the relationship between educational resemblance among married couple and wife's subjective well-being. As a result of the analysis, we find that hypogamy has negative effect on wife's subjective well-being such as happiness, life satisfaction, and marital satisfaction. In addition, we also find that in the case of hypogamy, wife's subjective well-being is negatively affected when both married couples have low educational attainment.
